I'm sooooo happy!
We got it!
Let me start from the beginning...no, would take to long, let me summup...
The other half and I have been looking for a new place to call home...we found a really nice place, one that I wasn't sure we would be able to get into. But, we decided "What the hell! What can they do? Say no?" So, he sent in the application on Thursday and we have been on pins and needles since then.
Well, the wait is over! WE GOT IT!!!!!!!!! We have to pay an extra month's rent, put up with not having an end unit (bigger bedroom & extra window) and having a fireplace...but I can do that... ;)
Now, I really need to go thru everything in this pit and decide what to toss and what to keep.
I can't stop grinning :)

Life, the Universe, etc...
Okay, here's the thing...
The other half and I are getting ready to move, which is a good thing. The problem is that we weren't expecting to have to move by the end of the October. Which gives almost no time to go thru everything and repack/donate/throw out everything thats still in boxes from the last move. On top of this, I have a wedding that I am helping plan (including the Shower/batchlorette party) that will be the end of October, coupled with all of the birthdays and other social events that I can't seem to get out of.
What all of this means is...this place probably won't see a complete upgrade until the winter holidays. I will try to post as often as I can, and I will try to keep doing the Meme's and Quizes so that people know I'm still alive :) And, time permitting, I will still visit other peoples' blogs.

1. You've agreed to sublet your apartment to someone. Someone else offers you an extra %50 a month to give it to her. Do you? If I had already agreed to sublet to person A, then I would follow thru on it.
2. Your boss congratulates you for a brilliant suggestion and hints at a promotion. A subordinate gave you the idea. Do you mention this to the boss? Depends on how much of the idea that the subordinate gave me. If it was something that took me in the right direction for the suggestion after some more work, then no. But if it was something that was dead on, then yes.
3. You're a college basketball star with high grades. An infertile couple offers you $4000 to donate semen/an egg. Do you agree to do it? I don't think the scholastic side would figure in, the answer would be no, unless they were close family.

Okay, so I'm late again. Blame me, blame the universe for lack of time, but don't blame the blog :)

1. What is your biggest pet peeve? Why?Oh man, there are so many little ones, that they all seem huge :) But, I think the bigget one would have to be a person in charge, like a boss/manager, not talking to their employees or following thru on a request from the employee.
2. What irritating habits do you have? I smoke, I curse occasionally, I get fustrated when people don't listen to me so I clam up and refuse to talk (sulk), I procrastinate, I hit when the mood strikes (pardon the pun), the list goes I but I won't.
3. Have you tried to change the irritating habits or just let them be?Some of them I've tried to change, some I haven't.
4. What grosses you out more than anything else? Why? A house covered with dirty dishes and old food in the floor. Cockroaches. Growing up in Florida I was terrified of Palmetto Bugs, which look like roaches, but had wings and would fly right at you when angered...they were also the size of small cats.
5. What one thing can you never see yourself doing that other people do? Being organized. I'm just to lazy.
